Patricia Dolores Nicolia

Patricia Dolores Donaldson Nicolia, 93, of Mountain Vista passed away Monday November 29, 2021 at  Lexington Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday December 4, 2021 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, where she was a member, with Father A.J. Gallant conducting services.

An inurnment will be held at a later date at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring Maryland.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday December 4, 2021 at the church.

Mrs. Nicolia was born March 20, 1928 in Chicago Illinois to John Joseph Donaldson and Virginia Hagerup Donaldson. Patricia had a long career in banking with First Union Bank.  In her spare time, Patricia enjoyed reading, Bird Watching, Traveling and spending time with her dogs and cats. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph Nicolia Jr., sister Phyllis Zahari, son-in-law Patrick Walker and sister-in-law Gloria Nicolia Woodward.

Surviving is her son Michael Nicolia of Virginia; her daughter, Trish Walker (Stewart Sexton) of Lexington; 7 grandchildren, Kelly Walker, Steven Walker (Julie), John Walker (Janna), Joseph Nicolia, Brion Webb, Danielle Webb, and Elizabeth Terpak (Michael) six great-grandchildren; brother-in-law John Nicolia (Sandi) of Virginia and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Davidson County 1120 Piedmont Drive, Lexington, NC 27295.
