Patricia "Patty" Scanlon Spurlock

Mrs. Patricia Scanlon Spurlock 79 of Arcadia passed away peacefully at home with her husband beside her. Patty was born in Bartley W.VA to the late Thomas and Shirley Scanlon of Huntington, W. VA. Patty attended Huntington High School and Marshall University. George and Patty had 58 wonderful years together. Patty loved the Lord and loved to spend time with her family and see friends. She was the happiest when she spent time with her grandchildren. They were the love of her life. She is survived by her husband George Spurlock; her two sons, Scott (Donna) Spurlock of Yadkinville, Randy (Shannon) Spurlock of Clemmons; her four grandchildren that will cherish their memories of their nana, Bethany Spurlock of Yadkinville, Gracie, Maggie and Jacob Spurlock of Clemmons; two sisters, Sarah Erickson (Ken) and Sherry Mayberry (Larry). A celebration service will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 3305 Peters Creek Parkway Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:00 PM prior to the service. The Spurlock family would like to thank Hospice of Forsyth County for the good care they gave Patty. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Repair Fund. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
