Patsy Buie-Hurley

Patsy Joann Buie-Hurley, 73, of Lexington passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019 at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel with Pastor Ken Harris officiating. A private burial will be held at Union Grove Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the service at the Funeral Home.

Mrs. Buie-Hurley was born in Davidson County on February 5, 1946 to Robert Buie and Ethel Churchwell Buie. She was retired from Duracell, having worked in assembly for over thirty years and was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Buie-Hurley was a loving wife, mother and grandmother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of twenty eight years, James Glen Hurley, Sr. of the home; her son, James Glen Hurley, Jr. of California; her three daughters, Brandy Parks (Karl) of Missouri, Tracy Colony (Jason) of Arizona and Whitney Hurley of Washington, DC; her eight precious grandchildren, Lyndsay Hurley, Kailey Hurley, Chloe Hurley, James Glen Hurley III, Ryan Johnston, Raegan Johnston, Sadie Colony and Autumn Colony; and one great-grandchild on the way.

Memorials may be directed to Bethesda Center for the Homeless at 930 North Patterson Avenue, Winston Salem, NC 27101.
