Patsy Hoover

Patsy Ganelda Sowers Hoover, 65, of Lexington passed away on December 24, 2020 at her home.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Hoover was born in Greenwood, SC on June 22, 1955 to Harold Graham Sowers and Edith Mize Sowers. She enjoyed gardening, had an amazing sense of humor, made some of the most beautiful quilts you have ever seen, and was passionate about music, specifically The Beatles. Mrs. Hoover was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Lee Hoover; and a sister, Rosie Lee Thomas; and a step-daughter, Anna Corina Hoover.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Sarah Bryant (Cameron Shoemaker) of Reidsville and Christian Francis (Kevan) of CO; a step-daughter, Avis Hoover Rowbury; a brother, Harold Sowers, Jr.; two sisters, Lynda Anderson (John) of Decatur, GA and Mary Walser (Robert) of Lexington; two grandchildren, Lily Bryant and Nathan Schmitt; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the mental health or suicide prevention association of the donor’s choice.
