Patsy (Pat) H. Wheless

Mrs. Patsy (Pat) H. Wheless passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at her home in Lexington.   The family will receive friends at her home throughout the day on Thursday, September 13, 2012 located at 112 Oak Avenue in Lexington.  Burial will be private at the Lexington City Cemetery.   Pat was a native of Charlotte, NC and was always proud of her roots in the Queen City.  She retired from PPG Industries in Lexington. After retiring, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends and rooting on her favorite team, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim Wheless and brother Richard Helms.   Surviving are her children; sons, Jim Wheless and wife Jean of Reidsville, NC and Dean Wheless of Lexington; her daughter, Susan Clay and husband Donald of Clemmons; three grandchildren, Cameron Hartwell, Tara Tussey and Stephen Wheless and one great-grandchild, Abigail Hartwell.   In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL  33607.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
