Patsy Dean Cope Rumfelt, 72, of Old Linwood Road, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Lexington Health Care.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2012, at Freedom Missionary Baptist Church with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church and other times at the home of her daughter on Brown Street.
Mrs. Rumfelt was born December 2, 1939, in Davidson County, to Sadie Cope McMasters. She was a homemaker and of the holiness faith. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Cope.
Surviving are husband, Cecil Max Rumfelt of Lexington; daughters, Melisa Buchanan and husband Kevin, Torena Neal and husband Kevin, Sherri Palmes and husband Guy, and Tina Coggin and life long partner, Michael Glenn, all of Lexington; stepson, Max Rumfelt of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Amber Haley, Stephanie Haley, Zoey Buchanan, Garrett Neal, Meredyth Neal, Madison Neal, Ginger Plott, Sam Plott and Wesley Palmes; and sisters, Mary Rose Harrison and Rachael Beckner, both of Lexington.
