Patsy Woodruff

Patsy Leonard Woodruff, age 87, of Lexington passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Hinkle Hospice House.   A private service will be held at Forest Hill Memorial Park.   There will be no formal visitation.   Mrs. Woodruff was born in Davidson County on October 13, 1930 to Tice Nicholas Leonard and Daisy Reid Leonard. She was a devoted member of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church. In addition to assisting her husband at the former Woodruff’s Shoe Store in Lexington, she was a loving and devoted wife and mother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Walter “Bill” Woodruff Jr.; six brothers, XL Leonard, Edward Leonard, Nicholas Leonard, Don Leonard, Calvin Leonard, and Rabb Leonard; and one sister, Lyndal Leonard Head.   Surviving are her son, Dr. William Walter Woodruff III (Melanie) of Jamestown; her daughter, Gail Woodruff Harris (Dr. Karl Harris) of Wexford, PA; two brothers, Reid Leonard (Mary Sue) of Salisbury and Bobby Leonard (Becky) of Potomac, MD; three grandchildren, Andrew Harris (Megumi) of Quincy, MA, Kristin Harris and Kaitlin Harris both of Pittsburgh, PA; and two great-grandchildren, Jack Harris and Kai Harris both of Quincy, MA.   Memorials may be directed to Sheets Memorial Baptist Church at 210 Cotton Grove Road, Lexington, NC 27292.
