Patsye Jo Banks

Patsye Jo Banks, 75 of Old Hwy. 64, Lexington died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007 after several years of declining health and 3 months of serious illness. Mrs. Banks was born July 27, 1931 in Woodland Mills, TN to John William Rogers and Sudie Smith Rogers. A homemaker, she was a member of Piney Grove United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Sue Rogers Moss and a brother, John W. Rogers, Jr. Surviving are her husband Rev. James Thomas Banks of the home, to whom she had been married to for 55 years. Daughter Lauren Blackwelder and husband Harvey of Denton; grandson Zachary Lee Cody; sister Pauline White of Tennessee; and many loving nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. The servie will be conducted by Rev. Karen Smith and Rev. Ray O’Ferrell. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of the daughter, at 293 Garner Road, Denton. Memorials may be directed to the Donor’s choice.
