Paul Coleman, 80, of Manhattan Drive, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at Hinkle Hospice House.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home by Preacher Clyde Akers. Burial with military graveside rites will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at their respective homes.
Mr. Coleman was born June 11, 1930, in Davidson County to Albert Coleman and Pearl Elizabeth Williams Coleman. He was retired from Lexington Furniture Industries, Plant 2 and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Coleman.
Surviving are his loving wife of 59 years, Frances York Coleman; son Randy Coleman and wife April of Denton; daughter Karen Fritts and husband Mark of Lexington; grandchildren Ethan Smith, Hayllie Coleman, Hunter Coleman, Scott Bradley, Michael Bradley and Zach Fritts and wife Danielle; brothers Earl Coleman of Welcome, Albert William Coleman and wife Annette of Lexington and Gene Coleman and wife Linda of Denton; sisters Elizabeth Ann Coleman Leonard and husband Richard, Myrtle Coleman Hatcher, Carrie Coleman Koontz and Nancy Coleman Canady, all of Lexington; and special neighbors Bobby Jones and wife Ann.
