Paul Baxter Fritts, 86, formerly of Salem Road, Welcome, died Friday, January 9 at Pine Ridge Health and Rehabilation in Thomasville.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, January 13 at First Baptist Church of Welcome by the Rev. Mark Blair. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30pm at the church prior to the funeral service and other time at the home of the daughter, 1135 Louya Road.
Mr. Fritts was born May 23, 1928 in the Holly Grove community to Robert Lee Fritts and Frances Elizabeth Crotts Fritts. He worked for Dixie Furniture and Henry Link Furniture, and later, retired from Lexington Home Brands. He also was a longtime agent for American General Life Insurance and was a member of First Baptist Church of Welcome, where he served as a Deacon. His wife, Elsie Brinkley Fritts, preceded him in death, as well as his brothers, William Fritts, Ralph Fritts, and Lloyd Fritts; his sisters, Louise Bowers and Kathleen Conrad; and a great-grandson, Blaise Everhart.
He is survived by his son, Steve Fritts and wife, Gail; daughter, Jenny Waisner and husband, Keith; his brother, Fred Fritts; grandchildren, Kristi Everhart and husband, Lee, Chad Fritts, and Brandon Waisner; and his great-grandchildren, Noah Everhart, Kalei Everhart, and Oakley Waisner.
