Paul Edwin Gobble

Paul Edwin Gobble, 83, of Lexington, died Monday, September 6, 2010, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, September 11, 2010, at Coggins Memorial Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Revs. Lewis Johns and David Shaffer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 pm prior to the service at the church. Mr. Gobble was born February 16, 1927, in Davidson County, to Charles Walser Gobble and Etta Francis Fritts Gobble. He served in the U.S. Navy and was retired from Burlington Furniture. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his, wife, Nancy Maxine Koontz Gobble on August 9, 2010; sister, Francis Gobble; and brother, Paige Donald Gobble. Surviving are a daughter, Shari G. Hankins and husband, Gary of Lexington; a grandson, Sgt. Phillip Matthew Williams and wife, Lisa; great granddaughter, Annabelle Grace Williams; and a brother, Albert Beck Gobble and his wife, Ellen, of Lexington.
