Paul Gary Hedrick

Paul Gary Hedrick, 71, of Lexington, passed away March 30, 2022, at Pennybyrn of Maryfield in High Point.

A memorial service to celebrate Gary’s life will be held at 4:00 pm Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Holly Grove Lutheran Church, where he was a member, with Pastor Anna Carter officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3:30 pm in the church fellowship hall.

Gary was born January 6, 1951, in Davidson County, to Paul Hedrick and Jewell Dean Snider Hedrick. Gary was a devoted member of the church and was retired from Hedrick’s Body Shop with 37 years of service. His passion was his faith, church, family and especially his grandchildren. At Holly Grove Lutheran Church, Gary served as a church council member, Sunday school teacher, youth leader, and scout committee member, having received the honor of the order of the arrow. He was an officer in the men’s brotherhood, was a member of the D.T. Lions Club and a board member with the Holly Grove fire department.  Gary was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be missed by all. Gary loved to travel, especially to the beach and Savannah, Ga. He enjoyed the outdoors and feeding his birds, but his true love was riding his lawnmower.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 50 years of marriage, Paula Burkhart Hedrick of the home, his daughter, Tina Hedrick Heitman and husband Eddie, his son, Jonathan Hedrick and wife Tina, all of Lexington; also surviving are his beloved grandchildren Ty Heitman, Isabel Heitman, Hunter Hedrick and Makenna Hedrick; and his sister, Bennie Frank, and husband Larry of Lexington; and his special granddog, Chase.
