Mr. Paul Hedrick, 82, of New Bowers Road, died Saturday at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington after a period of declining health.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Hedrick’s Grove United Church of Christ where he was a member, by Rev. William Sowers. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Mr. Hedrick was born October 31, 1927 in Davidson County to William Crawford Hedrick and Rosabelle Crotts Hedrick. Mr. Hedrick was a retired carpenter with Cletus Swing Construction with 52 years of service. His wife, Jewell Dean Snider Hedrick, preceded him in death on August 23, 2004, as well as his brother, James Hedrick.
He is survived by his son, Gary Hedrick, and wife, Paula, of Lexington; his daughter, Bennie Frank, and husband, Larry, also of Lexington; his grandchildren, Tina Hedrick Heitman and husband, Eddie, Jonathan Hedrick and wife, Tina, and Maria Frank Hodge and husband, Jarrod, all of Lexington; and his great grandchildren, Ty Heitman, Rylee Hodge, Hunter Hedrick and Makenna Hedrick; and his sister, Novelia Potts of Lexington.
