Paul Junior Holton

Paul Junior Holton, age 80 of S. NC Highway 150, Lexington passed away Wednesday morning (February 11, 2015) at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday (February 14, 2015) at Reeds Baptist Church, with Rev. Henry Watterson officiating. Burial will follow in Reeds Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 until 2:00 pm, prior to the service. Paul was born in Davie County August 11, 1934 to Paul Lionel and Ethel Maude Upright Holton. He was a grading contractor but his real love was farming which he enjoyed; he attended Reeds Baptist Church; was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War Era. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Philip Jackson Holton in 2005. Paul is survived by his wife of 57 years, Travis Walser Holton of the home; daughter, Paula Holton Swicegood (Michael) of Lexington; grandchildren, Chrisie Swicegood, Kerry Swicegood, Megan and Ali Holton and Jesse Swicegood; sister, Barbara Smith of Mooresville.
