Paul Dean Johnson

Paul Johnson, age 87 of Lexington passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at his home with family by his side.

A celebration of life will be held 2 pm, Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Faith Church conducted by Rev. Michael Gates and Rev. Ferrell Towns. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors. Family will receive friends from 12:30 till 1:30 prior to the service.

Mr. Johnson was born May 9, 1934 in Ashe County to Wiley Pinkley Johnson and Margaret Rose Johnson. Paul was a member of Faith church and retired from Carolina Business and served in the U S Army, Battle of Okinawa. He is preceded in death by his parents and eight sisters.

Surviving are; wife Shirley Byrd Johnson of 58 years; son Larry Dean Johnson, wife Cindy, adopted daughter Susan Payne Adams, four grandchildren; Hope Victoria, Lauren Dawn, Dillon Grey, William Maddox and one great grandson; Ryder Dean, one due January 2, 2022, Brayden Michael.
