Paul Joseph Sink

Paul Joseph Sink, 86, of Glenwood Drive, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at First Lutheran Church, where he was a member, by the Rev. Derek Boggs. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Sink was born May 19, 1920, in Davidson County to Alfred Napolean Sink Sr. and Claudia Lopp Sink. He was a retired employee of Burlington Industries and Burlington House Furniture. He served in the Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by a brother, A.N. Sink Jr.; two sisters, Edith Mae Sink and Elizabeth Sink; and a nephew, Franklin Sink. Surviving are his wife, Rebecca Sullivan Sink, to whom he had been married for 53 years, of the home; a daughter, Mildred Smith and her husband, Tracy, of Lexington; two sisters, Emma Lee Rumley of Lexington and Louise Driggers of Palatka, Fla.; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Sink of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the church parlor and other times at the home. Memorials may be directed to First Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 308, Lexington, NC 27293, or the donor's choice.
