Paul Wayne Kimbrell

October 6, 1941 — November 22, 2024

Mr. Paul Wayne Kimbrell of Michael Road passed away Friday November 22, 2024.

A funeral will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday November 27th, 2024, at Tyro Methodist Church with Reverend Randy Foster officiating. Committal will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday November 26th from 5pm-7pm at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel and other times at the home on Michael Road.

Mr. Kimbrell was born on October 6th, 1941, to Wilbur Stokes Kimbrell and Hilda Broach Phelps Kimbrell. He was a member of Tyro Methodist Church, where he served with Tyro Methodist Men and as past Tyro Methodist Youth leader. He was a past member of the West Davidson Booster Club. He was the owner and operator of Davidson Gutter Services and had proudly served as part of the Gaston County Sheriff’s Office, Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, and Tyro Fire Department. Paul and Bonnie had a passion for camping, and square dancing.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Elizabeth Walser Kimbrell and brothers Darell and Wilbur.

Those left to cherish his memory are sons Wayne (Gail) of Lexington; Michael (Amanda) of Clemmons; Shane (Karyn) of Iowa; brothers Bill (Patty) of Lexington; brother in law Bobby Walser of Lexington; Steve Walser (Dale) of Lexington; Randy Walser (Mary Ann) of Florida; sister in laws; Nell and Helen; two grandchildren Wesley (Melinda); Zachary (Lindsay); three great grandchildren Landon, Lillian and Reid Kimbrell, and is expecting his fourth great grand child in March of 2025, Clint Kimbrell.

The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Tyro Methodist Church 4484 S North Carolina Hwy 150, Lexington, NC 27295 or Davidson County Cancer Services 25 W 6th Ave, Lexington, NC 27292.

Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel is serving the family.
