Paul William Ladd

Paul William Ladd age 74 passed away at his home on Wednesday morning June 16, 2010. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Reedy Creek Church of Christ Cemetery with James Pearson and Don Sloan officiating. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Friday, June 18, 2010 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel and other times at the home. Mr. Ladd was born March 13, 1936 in Forsyth County to William McKinley and Lela Jordan Ladd. He spent his entire life in the Midway Community. He was a retired employee of The Bahnson Company and also served many years of work at AC Corporation. His passion in life was farming and building. He loved his family very much as well as any child he ever met. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Vera Perryman and Normie Jean Leonard; two brothers, Richard Ladd and Felix Ladd. Surviving are his wife Catherine Starling Long Ladd of the home to which he had been married to for 50 years; a daughter, Barbara Ladd Parnell and husband Zane of Midway; three grandchildren, Christopher Parnell and wife Miranda, Crystal Parnell Bullard and husband Kenneth, Jr., and Amy Parnell; four great-grandchildren, Lauren Kirk, Austin Kirk, Noah Kirk and Jynsen Parnell, one brother, James Ladd; one sister, Rachel Nance. The family would like to especially thank the Hospice Nurse Dan Booher, Nurse Robin and the Social Worker Melissa.
