Paul Thomas Mason

Paul Thomas Mason, 91, 0f Duke Drive in Lexington, passed away Tuesday April 2, 2024.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Friday April 5, 2024 at Forest Hill Memorial Park, with Pastor Michael Greer officiating services.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service at the cemetery.

Mr. Mason was born November 15, 1932 in Montgomery County to Alvin Thomas Mason and Eva Christine Walker Mason. He was retired from Prudential Ins., a member of First Assembly of Concord and enjoyed traveling and fishing in his spare time. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bruce Mason.

Surviving is his wife, Brenda C. Mason, of the home; one son, Tommy Mason (Debbie) of Lexington; one daughter, Brenda Ward (Larry) of Lexington; three step-sons, Erik Kirton of Berlin Germany; Kevin Kirton and Kris Kirton, both of Asheville, NC;  two brothers, Rex Mason of High Point; and Jimmy Mason (Connie) of Troy; one sister, Marie Sheppard of Troy; 5 grandchildren, Larry Ward, Jr. (Ariel), Brianne Brewer (Justin), Shawn Ward (Nicole), Brooke Mason (Rocky Suits), Alisha Ward (Miguel); 7 great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Brewer, Carrigan Brewer, Jasmine Ward (Rylan), Vincent Suits (Mary), Leland Suits, Isla Ward, Sierra Ward, and one great great-grandchild, Dallas Suits.
