Paul Abraham Reid, 89, of N.C. Highway 150 North, died Friday, May 12, 2006, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem after being in declining health for several years.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the home.
Mr. Reid was born April 24, 1917, in Davidson County to George Henry Reid and Ethel Mae Shoaf Reid. He was retired from Burlington House Furniture and was preceded in death by two brothers, Lester and John Reid, and a sister, Georgia Myers.
Surviving are his wife, Rebron Towery Reid of the home; three daughters, Rose Coe of Shallotte, Jackie Frank and her husband, Joe, of Lexington, and Paula Stump and her husband, David, of Winston-Salem; four grandchildren, Tammy Kautman, Tawni Byrd, Tracey Pringle and Dawn Case; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Rachel Turner of Lexington, Pansy Trantham, Katherine Forrest and Christine Darnell, all of Welcome.
The family will receive friends at the home.
