Paul Steven Floyd

Paul Steven Floyd, age 70, passed away unexpectantly on March 25, 2023.

Steve was born April 30, 1952, to Paul Eugene Floyd and Louise Berrier Floyd of Tussey Road, Lexington, NC.

Following graduation from West Davidson High School, Steve obtained his business degree from Appalachian State University. He spent the next 35 years as a loyal employee of Sara Lee Industries/Hanes Brand in Winston Salem, NC. He remained a faithful member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church during his lifetime.

Steve was quite a history buff and excelled at games of history trivia. He shared a love of golf and gardening with his father. One of his favorite pastimes was spending weekends with his uncles, Boogie and Hubert cheering on their favorite NASCAR drivers on TV.

Steve is survived by his sister, Cynthia Floyd Brock and numerous cousins.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. He will be laid to rest with his parents at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of Mary's House for their loving care of Steve the last few years.

In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored to have memorial donations be made to the Davidson County Humane Society, 1120 Piedmont Drive, Lexington, NC 27295, in memory of Steve and his favorite dog, Sasha.
