Paul R. Stogner Jr.,”Pete,” to many, 66, of Lexington, North Carolina, passed away on June 21, 2025.
Born on July 30, 1958, in Lexington, Pete was blessed with a joyful childhood in a home filled with love, laughter, and strong family bonds. He was the beloved son of Paul and the late Sarah Stogner and grew up alongside his three cherished sisters: the late Debbie Stogner (the late Rodney Tucker), Diane Stogner McBride (Lee McBride), and Susan Stogner Paschal. Their close-knit family created a foundation of kindness, loyalty, and togetherness that remained with Pete throughout his life.
Pete certainly carried these values with him, as his greatest pride was his family. He leaves behind his son, Ben Stogner, his daughter in law, Christian White Stogner, his daughter, Abigail Sims, and his son in law, Brody Sims, his nephew and great-nephew Bryan (Ellen) and Jackson Gallimore, and his niece, Olivia Paschal, and many other loved ones, whose lives all reflect his steadfast love and quiet strength. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Scout and Boone Sims, who brought him immense joy and were a constant source of pride.
For many years, Pete shared his life with his loving partner, Judy Potts. Their companionship and devotion to one another were evident to all who knew them, and they built a life full of quiet moments, shared adventures, and unwavering support.
Pete will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his love for family, and the kindness he extended to friends and strangers alike. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th, 2025 at 3PM, at Davidson Funeral Home, and a celebration of Pete’s life will immediately follow at 4PM in the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Paul’s memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his generous heart and love for helping others.
