Paul Wayne Beck

Paul Wayne Beck, age 71 of Robert Beck Rd., Lexington died Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Hedrick’s Grove United Church of Christ with Rev. William Sowers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, July 1, 2011 at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Mr. Beck was born August 14, 1939 in Davidson County to Kenneth Baxter Beck and Thelma Hedrick Beck. Paul was Owner/Operator of Beck’s Nursery and a member of Hedrick’s Grove United Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the US Army. Preceding him in death was three brothers, Norman Beck, Larry Beck, Richard Beck and a sister-in-law, Rachel Beck. Surviving are his wife, Lucy Bowers Beck of the home; sons, Steven Beck and wife, Karen, Randy Beck and wife, Tammy, Chad Beck all of Lexington; four grandchildren, David, Natalie, Janna and Bethany Beck; brothers, Bruce Beck and wife, Nancy of Lexington, a sister, Louise Ayers and husband, Jim of Lexington; Mother-in-Law, Grace Bowers of Lexington, sister-in-laws, Gail Beck, Lynn Beck both of Lexington and a brother-in-law, Wayne Bowers and wife, Joy of Vanceboro. Memorials may be directed to Hedrick’s Grove United Church of Christ, 3840 Allred Rd., Lexington, NC 27292 of to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292 A special thank you to Karen, Nola, and Anibal and the rest of the Hospice staff for their love and special care given to Paul.
