Paul Wood

Paul Samuel Wood, age 85, of Carolina Acres Road in Lexington passed away peacefully on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 2, 2018 at God’s Banqueting House with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the church prior to the service. Paul was born on March 18, 1932 in High Point, NC to James Robert Wood and Sara Jane Wood.  He was a maintenance supervisor for Tanglewood Apartments in Nashville, Tennessee and proudly served in the United States Army.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Edith Pearl Poole Wood; brothers, Pete Wood, Troy Wood, Culmer Wood, William Wood and sisters,  Lois Wood, Edith Wood and Fay Albridge. Surviving is his son, Kenneth Wood (Wanda) of Lexington and daughters, Marie Barber (Thomas), Glenda Berrier (Larky) and Susie Bruner (Keith), all of Lexington; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
