Pauline Ward Amos, 86 of Salem Rd. Lexington, died Wednesday April 12, 2006 at 3:25 AM in Lexington Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Mrs. Amos was born January 11, 1920 in Guilford County to Marvin Hill Ward and Corrinna Luck Ward. She was employed with McLellans Store for 20 years and retired from Dixie Furniture. She was a member of Fairmont Park Baptist Church in High Point. Her husband, John Millard Amos preceded her in death, March 1975, a daughter, Betty Jo Freeman, Feb. 11, 1988, 2 grandchildren, Paula Freeman, Tammy Freeman, and 3 brothers, Arnold Ward, Amos Ward, Emmit Ward. Surviving are her son Ken Amos of Lexington; grandchildren Kevin Amos, Rebecca Bowles and husband Kenny and Jack Freeman; great-grandson Joey Lloyd; brother Elmer Ward of High Point and a sister Mary Louise Ward of Asheboro. A Graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday (4/18/2006) at Floral Garden Memorial Park, High Point, NC. The service will be conducted by Rev. Clyde Akers, burial will follow in Flora Garden Memorial Park, High Point, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday (4/17/2006)at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel.
