Pauline Elizabeth Byerly Everhart, 98, of Reedy Creek School Drive passed away on August 24,2026, at Alderwood Hospice of Davidson County with her loving family by her side.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at Good Hope Church, where she was a member, with Pastor Jamie Sink officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

She will lie in State at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Saturday, August 29, 2026. 

Mrs. Everhart was born August 28, 1927, in Davidson County to William Preston Byerly and Pearl Elizabeth Zimmerman Byerly. Mrs. Everhart was a homemaker at heart in which she enjoyed cooking, gardening and babysitting.

Proceeding her in death was her loving husband of 68 years, Carl Odell Everhart who passed in August 2014. Also proceeding her in death were two brothers, Clarence Byerly and W.A. Byerly, four sisters, Mary Freedle, Ethel Freedle, Grace Hege and Marie Hanes.

She is survived by one sister, Ruby Freedle. Also left to cherish her memory are two sons, Larry Everhart (Linda), Benny Everhart (Barbara), two daughters, Yvonne Beck (Don), Jane Leonard (William), Five grandchildren, Wayne Everhart, Tammy Leonard, Wendy Hill, Kimberly Leonard and Kelly Leonard. Seven great-grandchildren, Riley Everhart, Brady Everhart, Mason Everhart, Maddie Hill, Abbie Hill, Ashley Severt, Heather Leonard and one great great-grandchild, Sandra Severt.

Pauline was a devoted friend to many in the Reedy Creek community. She will be missed more than words can say, "Our hearts are truly broken."
