Miss Pauline Gazelle Sink, 98, of Lexington Health Care, and formerly of Rowe Road, died Saturday at the nursing facility after declining health.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday from the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Derek Boggs. Burial will follow in the Lexington City Cemetery.
Miss Sink was born October 1, 1909 in Davidson County to John Henry Sink and Lou Ella Leonard Sink. She was a graduate of Lexington High School and taught for many years in the Lexington City and Davidson County Schools. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, where she had taught Sunday school and served on the Church Council. Her brothers, John Raymond Sink, and Garland R. Sink; and her sisters: Sadie Blanche Sink, Ella Mae Sink Everhart, Mary Katherine Sink, and Dorothy Alice Sink Meadows, preceded her in death.
She is survived by a brother, Willis Lee Sink of Lexington, eight nieces and four nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.
