Pearl Rachels Walser

December 27, 1918 — February 2, 2017

Pearl Rachels Walser, 98, of Yadkin College passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017 at her home with family by her side.   A funeral service will be held 2 pm Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Yadkin College United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.   Pearl was born December 27, 1918, in Surry County, to John Richard Rachels and Eva Creed Rachels. She was a member of Yadkin College United Methodist Church and loved to work on the family farm. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marshall Odell Walser Sr.; sons, Marshall Odell Walser Jr. and Wilford Davis Walser; brothers, Lonnie Rachels, Aubrey Rachels, Hoytt Rachels, Robert Rachels; sister, Elizabeth Wood; and son-in-law Bobby Hill.   Surviving are her sons, Hubert Mock Walser (Vickie), Johnny Robert Walser; daughters, Dora Kimsey and JoAnn Walser Hill all of Yadkin College; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren.   The family would like memorials sent to Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.   The family would like to extend a special thank you to Diane Walser, Hospice staff, and especially Branson.
