Peggy Ann Mccrary Freedle

Peggy Ann McCrary Freedle 75, of Weaver Road, died Monday at the Lexington Memorial Hospital after an illness of 6 months. A funeral service will be held 4:00 pm Friday October 24, 2008 at Center United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Stephen Pillsbury officiating. Burial to follow, at the Center United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Freedle was born September 15, 1933 in Davidson County, to Joseph Franklin McCrary and Mentie Lou Kinney McCrary. She was employed by Wachovia Bank for 25 years from where she later retired. She also served as Secretary and Treasurer of the Welcome Fire Department for 15 years, Secretary of Administrative Board at Center United Methodist Church for 32 years, served as President of United Methodist Women and taught Sunday School at her church for several years. She found great interest in Geneology and published three books on family history. Surviving are her husband Floyd Craver Freedle of the home;, one son Michael Freedle of Lexington; one daughter Becky Jo Brown of Salisbury; three sisters, Nancy McCrary, Betty McCrary and Ruth Deitz all of Lexington; and two grandchildren, Trey Brown of Jackson, Tenn., and Derek Brown of Concord. The Family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel. and other times at the residence on Weaver Road.
