Peggy Crawford Colston

Peggy Crawford Colston, age 72, of Jake Shoaf Road, Lexington passed away Friday, August 17, 2012 at her home.   A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Rev. Roger Weisner officiating.   The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:30 until 5:00 pm prior to the service and at other times at the home.   Peggy was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She never met a stranger and her love was unconditional. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. Peggy was born September 10, 1939 in Craig County, VA to Matt Lee Crawford and Amy Hostetter Crawford. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 52 years, James Marvin Colston, Jr.; son, Michael Colston; granddaughter, Cynthia Colston; sisters, Juanita, Rose and Clara Mae; brothers, Denny, Melvin, Porter and Raymond.   Surviving to cherish her memory; daughters, Vivian Myers and husband Donald of Welcome; Donna Colston of the home; sons, Ronnie Colson and wife Lisa of Welcome; James Colston and wife Sharon of Lexington; seven grandchildren; five special great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Martha Colston of Shallotte and she was looking forward to the birth of twin great-grandchildren on September 14, 2012.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC  27292   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
