Peggy Shoaf Evans, 82, of Koontz Road Lexington, formerly of Hilton Head Isand South Carolina, died Friday September 19, 2014 at the Hinkle Hospice Home in Lexington.
A funeral service will be held 4:00 pm Wednesday at Shiloh United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with Pastor David Kelley officiating services. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
the family will receive friends 6 to 8 Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
Mrs. Evans was born June 10, 1932 in Davidson County to William Grady Shoaf and May Hartley Shoaf. She was a member of the United Daughters of The Confederacy, and Daughters of American Revolution. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Willian Foy Shoaf.
Surviving is a daughter Carmen Smith and husband Danny of Lexington; a sister Beatrice Everhart of Lexington; one grandson, Thomas Ullman and wife Courtney; a niece Patrica Fortner and husband Frank of New Bern North Carolina; and a nephew, Guy Everhart and wife Emily.
