Peggy Dancy Everhart

March 19, 1929 — July 17, 2018

Peggy Nell Dancy Everhart, 89, formerly of North County Home Road, Lexington passed away on Tuesday, July 17 at Lexington Health Care.

A funeral service will be held at 12pm Thursday, July 19 at Grace Alliance Church by the Rev. Clyde Akers. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home on North County Home Road.

Mrs. Everhart was born March 19, 1929 in Iredell County to Joe William Dancy and Flossie Mae Warren Dancy.  She grew up in Wilmington and worked in several family businesses, including Dancy Produce.  She later retired from Burlington Industries.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will dearly missed.  Her husband, D. Lewis Everhart, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sons, Larry Everhart and wife, Ann, Alvin Everhart and wife, Zoobie, and Michael Lewis Everhart and wife Jamie, all of Lexington; her daughter, Jo Lynn Tysinger and husband Jim of Lexington; her grandchildren, Travis Tysinger and wife Tanzy, Dustin Tysinger and wife Kristen, Kayla Everhart Smith and husband Daniel, Braden Everhart, and Xandria Everhart, all of Lexington; and her great grandchildren, Payton Tysinger, Andrew Tysinger, Dylan Tysinger, Eli Tysinger, all of Lexington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the Hospitality Committee at Grace Missionary Alliance Church,  457 Burkhart Road, Lexington, NC 27292.
