Peggy Jean Howell

Jean Howell, age 82, formerly of High Rock Lake, passed away July 25, 2024 at Mallard Ridge Assisted Living.

A graveside service will be 2:00 PM, Monday, July 29 at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Roland Mills officiating.

Jean was born June 17, 1942, in Davidson County to Charlie Ray and Faith Tesh McCarn.  Jean grew up at Dakota Hill, Lexington; she graduated from Lexington High School and attended King’s Business College. After graduating college, she began her career at Lexington area Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed spending time with her husband Jerry, fishing at the lake and taking trips to Cape Hatteras and Morehead City. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Wayne Howell in July of 2024.

Left to cherish her memories are her nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to thank the Riverview Road high Rock Lake neighbors for their care and support, as well as Mallard Ridge Assisted Living facility, and Hospice of Davidson County for the care provided to Jean.
