Peggy Koonts Kearns

Peggy Koonts Kearns, age 87 of Lexington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at her home.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 8 at Lexington City Cemetery with Rev. Joe Marler officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the graveside at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Peggy was born on March 12, 1934 in Davidson County to Floyd Kesler and Irene Ridenhour Koonts.  Peggy was one of the smiling faces behind the counter at the Candy Factory in Lexington and was a member of Wayside Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, David Daniel Kearns.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jeffery Calton Mitchell of Myrtle Beach, SC, David D. Kearns, II of Murrells Inlet, SC; brother, Thomas Koonts of Lexington; sisters, Dianne Dagenhart, Doris Owen (Bobby Joe), Clara Swicegood, all of Lexington; 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and her furry friend, Chloe.
