Peggy Gibson Kepley

Peggy Gibson Kepley, age 76 of Buena Vista Drive, Lexington passed away Sunday morning (October 25, 2009) at High Point Regional Medical Center.  Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday (October 28, 2009) at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor Bud Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery.   Peggy was born in Davidson County, December 20, 1932 to Rupert Lee Gibson and Margaret Taylor Gibson.  She was a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a homemaker and a retired desk clerk at Friendly Cleaners.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred Eugene Kepley in 1980, one sister, Elease Cannon and three brothers, Rupert L. Gibson, Jr. Billy Gibson and Howard Gibson.   Surviving are: three daughters, Debbie Baugus and husband Emmett, Lisa Charles and husband Jim and Tracy House and husband Doug all of Lexington; three sons, Scott Gibson and wife Kay, Michael Kepley and wife Julie and Bill Kepley and wife Sherry all of Lexington; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, Ernest Brondell Gibson and wife Maxine of Sophia.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday night at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home.   Memorials may be directed to Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, Building Fund, 101 East Park Avenue, Lexington, NC  27292     Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
