Peggy Griffie Lohr

Jettie (Peggy) Griffie Lohr, age 76, of Poplar Street, Lexington passed away Friday (February 5, 2010) at Centerclair Nursing Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday (February 10, 2010) in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Akers officiating.Burial will be in Salisbury National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 11:00 Wednesday prior to the service. Peggy was born in Davidson County, December 13, 1933 to Charlie Clyde Griffie and Flora Bean Griffie. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jerry Edward Lohr on December 11, 2009; three sisters, Salle Mae Greer, Lela Yarbrough and Darlene Parrish; three brothers, Clyde, Raymond and Grover Griffie. Surviving are; one daughter, Peggy Lohr Wafford of the home; two sons, John (Pedro) Lohr of the home and Jerry (Bo) Lohr of Reeds; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; ones sister, Shirley Eddinger of Thomasville; two brothers, Buddy Griffie of Thomasville and Don Griffie of Reeds.
