Peggy Blackburn Prevette

Peggy Elizabeth Blackburn Prevette, 83, formerly of Lexington passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Bradford Village West in Kernersville.

A private burial will be held at National Cemetery in Salisbury.

Ms. Prevette was born on December 30, 1936 in Forsyth County to Howard Blackburn and Mary Logan Blackburn.  She retired as a cashier from Eckerd’s Drug Store and attended Freedom Baptist Church in Winston-Salem.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald L. Prevette, two grandsons, and sister, Katie Collins.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Scott Hiatt of East Bend; daughters Kathy Tuttle of Winston-Salem, Retha Willis of Lexington; brother, Harvey Ray Jester of Florida; sisters, Marie Jester of Kernersville, Martha Jester of Winston-Salem and Mary Gail Jester of Kernersville; two grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care of Winston-Salem, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
