Peggy Briggs Varner

Peggy Briggs Varner, age 83 of Colonial Drive, Lexington passed away Thursday morning November 19, 2020 at her home.

A private graveside service will be held at Beck’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery with Pastor Chris Johnson officiating. Services are private for family, with no guest. The family appreciates all thoughts and prayers that have been sent their way, but due to the Pandemic all services are private.

Peggy was born in Davidson County January 8, 1937 to Dewey Clifford Briggs and Mary Rudd Briggs. She was a member of Beck’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and was retired from Davidson County Schools having worked at Silver Valley and Central Davidson Middle School. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lowell “Ike” Varner and a son, Lowell Craig Varner.

Surviving are her son, David Varner and wife Tracy of Lexington; grandchildren, Katie Varner Forbes (Mac), Joseph David Varner and Olivia Varner Martin (Koby); great-granddaughter, Ellie Forbes.
