Peggy Jane Walser

Peggy Jane Walser, 84, of Alston Brook Nursing Center, formerly of Dykers Creek Road, died Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Alston Brook. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes. Miss. Walser was born December 3, 1930, in Davidson County, to Robert Grady Walser and Elsie Myers Walser. She was a graduate of Reeds High School and retired from Dixie Furniture after 44 years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Jerry Walser and Dale Walser; sisters, Doris Walser Harrelson and Betty Walser Lumsden; brothers-n-law, Willie Harrelson and George Dorsett; and sister-in-law, Linda Walser. Surviving are brothers, Lindsey Walser and wife Bonnie of Lexington, Ronald Walser of Monroe, and Allen Walser of Lexington; sisters, Jewel Dorsett, all of Lexington; brother-in-law, Pete Lumdsen of Lexington; and a number of nieces and nephews. Peggy was at Alston Brook for the last four years. The family would like to thank all the staff that were so loving and caring while she was there. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
