Pegi Freedle

Bernice Margaret “Pegi” Freedle age 51 of Salisbury passed away Sunday evening at her home after an illness of several years.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 8, 2018 in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Rev. Jeff Perdue officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. The family and friends will gather from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at South Lexington Fire Department for a meal and fellowship.

Pegi was born in Sacramento, CA May 16, 1967 to Eugene Frederick and Barbara Stoddard Smith. She attended West Davidson High School and received an Associate Degree in Nursing from DCCC in 2010. She was employed with PPG for 17 years and was a member of South Lexington Fire Department Women’s Auxilliary. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Melvin and Bernice Stoddard, Everette and Marion Smith and nephew, Grant Miller.

Surviving are her daughter, Keri O’Neill of Salisbury; son, Brandon Freedle of Lexington; grandchildren, Jonathan, Kyle and Shaymus; sister, Tammi Miller (Alan) of Lexington; brother, James T. Smith of Norwich, NY; nephew, Adam Miller of Lexington.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Trellis Supportive Care for their extraordinary care of Pegi.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC  27103.
