Pepper Snider Younts, 68, passed away peacefully September 3, 2026, at his home, after an 8-year battle with Sarcoma. Pepper was born on September 23, 1957 to Clarence Reid Younts Sr. and Hilda Snider Younts, both of whom preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Reid and Lynn Younts.
Pepper graduated from Lexington Senior High School in 1975 and went onto attend and graduate from The University of North Carolina – Charlotte to earn his B.S. degree in accounting. Pepper was a partner at Turlington & Co., in Lexington for a number of years, before moving to Yadkin Valley Telephone, to serve as their Chief Financial Officer.
Pepper is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lora Disher Younts, of the home. His sister, Faye Kepley (Scott). His brother-in-law’s Bob (Susan) Disher and Eric (Jackie) Disher. Best friend to both Pepper and Lora, Beth Blevins. Close family friend, Dorothy Floyd. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. His pride and joy, his constant companions, his dogs, Hank and Harper.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
