Percy "Charlie" Delbert James

Percy Delbert “Charlie”James, 70, of Old Mill Farm Road, died Thursday, May 18, 2017, at his home.  The funeral will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Good Hope United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joseph Fulk III officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and other times at the home.  Mr. James was born June 19, 1946, in Davidson County, to Percy James and Ruby Carter James. He was retired from RJ Reynolds. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Chester Carter James.  Surviving are his loving wife, Jeanette Stanford James of the home; daughters, Ginger James Nanney (Mike) of Mooresville, and Julie James Humphries (Scott) of Hampstead; grandchildren, Jake Nanney, Madison Nanney, Cooper Humphries, and Ethan Humphries; sister, Wanda James Hastings (Don) of Forest City; and his canine companion, Cookie.  Memorials may be made to Good Hope United Methodist Church, 10253 Hampton Road, Lexington, NC 27295.
