Pete Essick

Mr. Bobby Ellis “Pete” Essick, Jr, 55, of Leonard Road, died Monday at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, March 10 at Center United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Stephen W. Pillsbury. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Pete was born November 14, 1954 in Davidson County to Bobby Ellis Essick, Sr. and Carolyn Leonard Essick. He graduated from Davidson County Community College with honors on August 5, 1992 with a degree in Accounting and Applied Science. For his superior academic standing, Pete was named a commencement Marshall. He was also a member of Phi Theta Kappa Society. He was a member of Center United Methodist Church. His father and his sister, Cecilia Sue Essick, preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Leonard Essick, of the home; his brothers, Mike Essick and Joe Essick, and wife, Dawn, all of Lexington; his grandmother, Frances Wagner Leonard of Lexington; his nephew, Hence Essick and wife, Candace, of Kernesville, and his niece, Emily Essick, of UNC-Charlotte.
