Pete Leonard, Jr.

Alvin Lee “Pete” Leonard Jr., of Burkhart Road, died Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at his home. The funeral will be at 11:00 Friday, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jim Thompson. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Leonard was born April 28, 1942, in Alamance County to Alvin Lee Leonard Sr. and Mary Pauline Kernodle Leonard. He was a retired shipping clerk from Lexington Furniture. He married Mildred Clark Leonard, who survives of the home. Also surviving are a son, Greg Leonard and wife, Tina, of Lexington; granddaughter, Amber Leonard of Lexington; and a sister, Jean Epley of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, P.O. Box 1941, Lexington, NC, 27293.
