Peter Hall Detweiler

Peter Hall Detweiler of Lexington passed away Thursday, January 21st at his home. A remembrance service will be held at the Lexington YMCA located at 119 W. Third Avenue on Tuesday, January 26 at 11 am. Peter was born in New York City on January 18, 1946 to Joseph Hall Detweiler and Catherine Lawrence Detweiler. Peter was a graduate of Wayland Academy and Princeton University and received an MBA from Wake Forest University. He served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. Following early retirement from IBM, Peter enjoyed teaching yoga and tai chi at the Lexington YMCA. He was preceded in death by his parents. Peter is survived by his longtime companion, Nan Day; a brother, Steven Detweiler of Gainesville Florida, sisters, Nancy Detweiler Metzger of Evanston, Illinois, and Carol Detweiler McClellan of Oakland, California, seven nieces and nephews and three great nephews.
