Phil Morris

Phillip “Phil” Dale Morris age 43 of Weldon Smith Rd., Lexington died Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Lexington Memorial Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, January 17, 2011 in Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home and other times at the home of the parents on Wilson Road. Phil was born October 1, 1967 in Davidson County to Steven Darrell Morris and Ruby Riddle Morris. He was a former truck driver an equipment operator with Morris Hauling & Grading, and he was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Cooleemee. His grandmother, Eula Mae Phillips and his paternal grandparents, E.L. Morris and Helen Morris preceded him in death. Surviving are a son, Philip Dale “P.J.” Morris, Jr. of Lexington, daughters, Devan Nicole Morris, Autumn Dawn Parsons both of Lexington, his parents and a sister, Angela Morris Robbins and her husband, Scott of Lexington, and his grandfather, Delbert Phillips of Lexington.
