Phoebe Gibson Foster, age 59 of Maley Lane, Lexington passed away suddenly Sunday morning at Forsyth Medical Center. Memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Wednesday (7-22-2009) in the Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Rev. Clyde Akers officiating.
Phoebe was born in Buchanan County, Virginia, May 14, 1950 to William Bryant Gibson and Madgie Blankenship Gibson. She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church and was a CNA with Britthaven of Davidson.
Surviving are; husband, Billy R. Foster of the home; one son, Nicholas E. Foster of the home; mother, Madgie Blankenship Gibson of Hurley, Virginia; four sisters, Georgie McGraw, Sue Endicott and Edna Endicott all of Hurley, Virginia and Sharon Charles of Lexington; six brothers, Ed and Lawrence Gibson of Hurley, Virginia, James Gibson of Washington State, Curtis Gibson of Tazewell, Virginia, Thurman and Destery Gibson of Lexington.
The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 2:30 until 4:00 pm Wednesday prior to the service.
