Phoebe Ann Misenheimer Hedrick, 89, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother of NC Highway 47, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethany United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Benny Clodfelter and Pastor Michael Jernigan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church fellowship hall from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service and other times at the home.
Mrs. Hedrick was born January 17, 1927, in Rowan County, to Lee Misenheimer and Mary Ann Carter Misenheimer. She was retired from Burlington Industries after 25 years of service. She was the church organist and pianist at Bethany United Methodist Church for 31 years and she was a member of the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed cooking for family, friends and the United Methodist Men, taking grandchildren shopping, and giving to others. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Vernon, Clayton, Donald and Alvin Misenheimer.
Surviving are her loving husband of 68 years James Ralph Hedrick of the home; sons, Jimmy Hedrick and wife Gayla, Danny Hedrick, and Terry Hedrick and wife Susan, all of Lexington; grandchildren, Sterling Hedrick and Carolyn, Stephanie Campfield and husband Chuck, Stacey Conner and husband Cole, Callie Jernigan and husband Michael, Brooke McDowell and husband JB, Abbie Hedrick and Eli Hedrick; great-grandchildren, Kate Conner and Turner Jernigan.
