Phoebe “Jane” Wise, 73, of Payne Road, died Friday, October 09, 2009, at Forsyth Medical Center.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2009, at Faith Missionary Alliance Church, where she was a charter member, with the Rev. Michael Gates and Rev. Don Lyerly officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Wise was born October 19, 1935, in Davidson County, to Marshall Wiley Nifong and Mary Miller Nifong. She was a former employee of Lucia Inc. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Joe Nifong and Carroll “Puny” Nifong.
Surviving are daughters, Sherry Moore Luper of Lexington, Dawn Moore Sink and husband, Johnny, and Kim Moore Wilkes and husband, Mike, all of Winston-Salem; Seven grandchildren, Eric, Chad, Crystal, Heather, Jared, Jacob and Courtney; seven great-grandchildren, Daniel, Cole, David, Christian, Carson, Logan and Scotti; brothers, Donald Nifong of Welcome and Ray Nifong of Midway; and a sister, Zora “Sis” Hartman of Midway. Jane was affectionately known as “Mother” to all friends and family and cherished spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of Mike and Kim Wilkes on Carrington Lane.
