Phyllis Walser Yokeley, 62, of Mt. Carmel Road, Lexington, died Monday, March 6, 2006, at Forsyth Medical Center after an illness of several years.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Good Hope United Methodist Church, where she was a member, by the Rev. Chris Bennett. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Yokeley was born March 4, 1944, in Davidson County to Cleve Walser and Verna Zelle Swicegood Walser. At her church, she was a member of the choir, a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Fellowship Circle. She was a lover of flowers.
Surviving are her husband, Terry L. Yokeley, of the home; one son, Keith L. Yokeley, and his wife, Teresa, of Lexington; one daughter, Lisa Y. Young, and her husband, Steve, of Lexington; six grandchildren, Brandt Yokeley and his wife, Amber, Nicole Yokeley, Tricia Yokeley, Jared Sealey, Tori Young and Tyler Young; one great-grandchild, Jaiden Yokeley; and one sister, Louise W. Luffman and her husband, Bill, of Lexington.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington and other times at the home.
